Chausson dedicated this short piece to singer Jeanne Raunay. The work was premiered in 1899, six months before Chausson's death. This is a reprint of the first edition, published in 1911 by Rouart, Lerolle et Cie. With a new preface in German, English and French.
Viviane : Poeme Symphonique, Op. 5 (1882, Rev. 1887).
This work, composed in 1882, was Chausson's first real work for orchestra. Viviane is the Lady of the Lake from the King Arthur saga. This edition presents an 1894 publication by Le Bailly-Bornemann of the revised version. With an introduction.
