Reprint of Schott's 1949 edition of Rudolf Hindemith's piano reduction of Goltermann's fourth cello concerto (he composed six in all). The three movements are meant to played continuously.
With a foreword in German, English and French. Schumann composed this concerto in 1853, but the music was not premiered until 1937. The solo violin part was considered too demanding even by Joseph Joachim, and Hindemith prepared this version of the part for the premiere.
